What was the Great Barn is now the Dinotorium. The Dinotorium is said to be run by the mad scientist Dr. McCavius. Here your child can explore 4 levels of activities and games all themed around Dinosaurs and dare I say, educational. Shh! Well, keep that as a secret from the kids. They won’t know as they will be having lots of fun learning to be a Ranger-In-Training.
Behind the Dinotorium is where your adventure really begins. Dinosaur Explore greets you with a Jurassic Park feel with the large gates.
Once you enter, it is very inviting and open. The paths are wide and easy to navigate. Those with strollers and/or wheelchairs will have an easy time getting through.
Each Dinosaur looks lifelike in size and appearance. Almost each one is set with animatronics to move and even sound like the real thing.
DIVA said her favorite was the Tyrannosaurus Rex who living up to its nickname of King of Dinosaurs; is standing right at the highest point of the trail overlooking the rest of these majestic creatures.
Lil Man loved the freedom of being able to walk and explore, even getting right up close to a few. There is a fence to keep guest on the outside and signs explaining facts about each Dinosaur. The sounds were not too loud for him and he didn’t show any fear with their movements.
As you are about to exit the exhibit there is a sand-filled area called Dino Dig. Here your little Rangers can be a paleontologist and dig for their own Dino Bones.
Dinosaur Explore is open on Attraction Open days and just in time Spring Break here in the Atlanta area. The price is included in a daily Adventure Pass and an annual Mountain Membership.
