Grand Opening In Marietta

Lights, Camera, Action! Studio Movie Grill (SMG), known nationwide as the pioneer and leader of the in-theater dining concept and a pioneer in conscious capitalism, will expand its metro Atlanta footprint with a new location in Marietta opening on Thursday, Nov. 16. The theatre, located at 40 Powers Ferry Road, will feature 11 screens and is the third property to open in Georgia and the 29th SMG location nationwide.

Our family is huge fans of Studio Movie Grill and I have written before about them due to their great Sensory Needs Screenings and even their Management and Staff which are all wonderful!

SMG guests may reserve their seats and purchase their tickets online, allowing for a relaxed, unhurried experience. Upon arrival, guests will be warmly welcomed with a spacious lounge and access to a premium bar. In theater, an upscale and extensive menu greets guests and all at a push of a button from their luxury recliners. Distinctive to the SMG Marietta complex, guests may choose to relax pre or post-show in the outdoor patio with a full-service bar.

The decision to expand in metro Atlanta was easy for SMG’s Owner Brian Schultz. “Cobb County is experiencing an economic resurgence and this center, anchored by SMG Marietta, is destined to become the melting pot for entertainment, pop culture and great food,” said Schultz.

SMG’s role in the community doesn’t stop with entertainment and dining.  With a mission to open hearts and minds one story at a time, this location will participate in SMG’s nationwide initiativesSpecial Needs Screenings and Chefs for Children program where proceeds from select menu items support local non-profits that serve special needs children and their families. In addition, SMG presents an “Opening Hearts and Minds” Award annually.

“We are thrilled that Studio Movie Grill has chosen to expand and now have a location within the City of Marietta,” said Mayor Steve Tumlin. “Studio Movie Grill will be the first business in the City to provide moviegoers this type of dine-in experience. Serving not only as a hub for entertainment, this facility will be seen as a positive impact on the community by providing over 200 jobs at this location.”

In preparation for the opening, Studio Movie Grill is looking to hire 200+ area hospitality stars to join the Marietta team. Bartenders, servers, runners, hosts, box office agents and kitchen staff are encouraged to apply immediately at www.studiomoviegrill.com or in person at the temporary hiring space at 70 Powers Ferry Road, Suite A10, Marietta, GA 30067.
