Vacation is something everyone loves but not the cost. Vacationing on a budget takes careful planning and lots of research. Sometimes it can even mean making sacrifices on where you stay. Wyndham Lake Buena Vista in Orlando Florida brings you the best of both comfort and price.
Due to a conference, I was attending in Orlando, I needed a place to stay for an extended weekend. Some other friends teamed up and we made it a Girls Trip vibe. Wyndham Lake Buena Vista was the perfect choice for us and despite some mom guilt upon first arriving, I soon was enjoying all the resort had to offer and was guilt free. Well, I did promise to bring them back so that of course helped.
Upon entering you get a light airy feel of the lobby. Very open and yet complete with everything you could need for your stay.
There was lots of seating for the 24 hr Sundial cafe and for those who just want to hang out in the lounge. We spent every night sitting and talking in those chairs. And I can picture families do just the same. Especially if you are traveling with extended family and don’t want to have everyone crammed into one room.
The staff was outstanding. Since we flew in on an early flight, our room was not ready yet as check-in is not normally till 4 pm. No problem. They stored our luggage for us and we had time to explore the resort and the character breakfast.
Yes, being an official Disney Springs Resort, Wyndham Beaua Vista has their own character breakfast on property. While the buffet is daily, each Tuesday, Thursday at Saturday you can also meet Goofy and Pluto in Wyndham Lake Buena Vista’s Lakeview Restaurant.
Beside the Lakeview Resturant, you have the option of the Sundial which is a 24-hour cafe and store. The donuts are huge and for coffee, they serve Joffrey’s which I fell in love with their Iced Mocha. Domino’s also has a relationship with Wyndham and offer a self-order kiosk right in the lobby.
AMAZING KID-FRIENDLY AMENITIES
The pool is a favorite for the kids. Zero-entry and their own play structure will have them busy for hours. In fact, you may not get them out.
For adults, it is a visual oasis with cabanas, hot tub, and a full bar. And what I loved is how they have free water and cups for everyone as no one wants to get dehydrated and sick on vacation.
Overlooking Lake Buena Vista, this relaxed resort hotel is a 15-minute walk from Disney Springs. If you want to go to the Disney parks, shuttle service is provided. But if you want to stay at the resort, don’t worry for there is lots of Disney magic to keep you going. Disney music plays through the lobby. Hidden Mickey’s will keep you and your kids engaged to find them all. A Disney Store is right there for your shopping pleasure (including park tickets and magic bands) and lots of other Disney magic.
I really enjoyed the library nook where they played Disney Channel and had bookshelves filled with books for anyone to borrow. And of course, what kid doesn’t love a game room? And for those who want to stay in shape, an on-site fitness room will keep help you keep your goals.
The grounds themselves are beautiful to look at and explore.
The room was filled with comfort and a decor that reminded me of a Cape feel. And being originally from New England, I loved it.
The beds were extremely comfortable and while I finally went to bed, I had no trouble falling asleep. The room even had fluffy bathrobes for that added relax feel. Rooms come with flat-screen TVs, minifridges, and coffeemakers.
Of course, let’s not forget the view. Our room was in the tower and we had the perfect view of Disney Springs and even a few of the parks.
I’m already planning our return trip with the kids and this time adding some park time too.
