FREE Outdoor Movies Boston/Providence
Summer is almost here and one of the fun things we like to do as a family is the Movies in the Park FREE outdoor movies. These outdoor events oftentimes have “pre-show” activities. Each venue will feature different activities so be sure to check their Facebook page for updated info. We encourage you to arrive early, bring a blanket, low back lawn chairs and pack a picnic, snacks, drinks or patronize local restaurants surrounding the venue.
All movies are shown at sundown (approximately 8:00 pm). Arrive early to grab your spot on the lawn and enjoy free games and giveaways with WBZ NewsRadio 1030. The fun starts at 6 pm!
Movie nights on the beach! Entertainment is from 6 PM to 8 PM with Jim the DJ, inflatables, popcorn and cotton candy. The movie will begin at dusk. The event is FREE! All movies will have a rain date of the following night (Friday).
Spend your summer nights enjoying live waterfront entertainment and al fresco dining at the Boston Harbor Hotel’s annual SUMMER IN THE CITY Entertainment Series. June 7th – August 31st. Movies begin at dusk.
MORE ADULT STYLE All screenings are preceded by live music, art making, and lawn games starting 90 minutes before the film begins. No ticket is required. Bring a blanket or low chair (maximum 3 feet high), a picnic supper, and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during the film. Beer, wine, and snacks are available for purchase.

Movie and Game Night at Valley Chapel 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM Uxbridge Public Library is partnering with Valley Chapel again this year for a Friday family night of fun! Games and snacks will be provided at 7pm, and the movie will begin promptly at 8pm. Come and watch The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part! No registration is necessary. free Thursday night outdoor documentary film series continues through Sept. 1, at venues across Aquidneck Island that range from oceanfront mansion lawns to the Newport Shipyard, the Newport Polo Grounds and Queen Anne Square.
Friday night “Movies in the Park.” Movies begin at 8:30 p.m. on the Boathouse lawn, across from the Carousel Village. (Food Truck Fridays are from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Carousel.)
Bring your family, friends, a blanket or chair and watch a movie while sitting on the grass under the stars at Rocky Point. The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. All movies begin at dusk, weather permitting. FOOD TRUCKS will be present.
Movies are shown every Thursday evening, June to August, at sundown at Grant’s Block (260 Westminster Street).
