Home For The Holidays With Billy Gilman
Singer Billy Gilman to headline first arena concert “Home for the Holidays” at the Dunkin Donuts Center Presented by Dunkin’ Donuts
On December 14th, 2017 Grammy nominee and NBC’s The Voice runner-up Billy Gilman will be bringing his favorite Holiday classics to Providence’s Dunkin Donuts Center. Gilman said in a recent press conference “To come home and headline my first arena show in my home state with my favorite Christmas songs is the best gift of the season for me!” Backed by an energetic 9 piece band Gilman will also feature non-holiday songs that have made the singer a worldwide name. “I always try to insert some of my own material and classic songs that everyone can sing along to,” Gilman states.
Billy will also be enlisting the help of another famous Rhode Island musician that is also featured on his upcoming “Christmas Memories” EP. Gilman last December was in Los Angeles at the finale of NBC’s The Voice where he came in 2nd place. “I have everything the winner has and the freedom they don’t. I am in a great spot musically and look forward to performing on such a huge stage this December. What a difference a year makes!”
Gilman debuted onto the music scene in 2000 at the age of 11. With the release of his first album “One Voice”, Billy became the youngest person to ever have a top 5 debut album and a number one single on the Country Music Singles Chart. Since then he has gone on to sell a whopping 10 million albums worldwide.
The Christmas concert will also have a poignant mission behind it as well. A portion of the ticket sales will go to Hasbro Children’s Hospital. “I have seen first-hand the remarkable treatments and services that Hasbro gives to these amazing kids. To help them as much as I can is an important mission to me.”
